If you had to choose between Ant and Dec and Hans Solo and Chewbacca to crown as best TV duo of all time, which combo would you say are most deserving?

Ant & Dec, formally known as Anthony McPartlin and Declan Donnelly are not only witty OBE award winning TV presenters, but television producers, actors and former musicians.

Renowned for having a strong chemistry on and off the screen, many would say that collectively, they form the best British TV duo- and arguably so.

These undisputed Kings of Saturday night television have never liked being too far from one another. When the pair first became presenters, Dec had found himself a place to live and Ant had bought a house for sale just two doors away. When Ant got married to his wife Lisa, the happy couple bought their own house and Dec moved slightly further away by just three doors!

The Geordie’s first appearance was in ‘Byker Grove’ in 1993.- A British TV series centred on young teenagers crossing the bridge of childhood to adulthood, - ironically a phase many viewers have witnessed the stars pass through during the earlier years of their career. But could anybody else possibly out-do these two after having stolen the hearts of a nation for over two decades?

Now Star Wars characters Hans Solo and his sidekick Chewbacca (AKA ‘Chewie’), -formally known as Harrison Ford and Peter Mayhew, are certainly strong competitors when it comes to choosing who should claim the ‘best duo title’.

For those who aren’t familiar, Hans Solo was a cocky Millennium Falcon pilot who had saved Chewbacca from imperial slavery and even defected from his lieutenant position to save his hairy partner in crime, though Hans had a different way of looking at it:

“I saved him, at least that’s what he says, the big fuzzy fool, but really, he saved me. I was on a bad path, and Chewie, he put me straight. Saved my shanks more than once too.”

Although Hans always seemed to lead the way, Chewie was there without fail to cover Han’s back and we’re sure he always will be. It’s clear to see they’d be willing to die for one another, which is exactly why these loving characters have grown just as iconic as the Star Wars Franchise itself and have given lasting memories to an entire generation.

With each unique and dynamic duo proving to be strong partners in crime, there is one other thing they have in common-an undeniably strong bro-mance.

So, which pair should be awarded with the title as ‘best TV duo of all time’? Well, we’ll leave that for you to decide.
