The small island off the coast of Spain, Ibiza, is perfectly positioned in the Mediterranean Sea with its idyllic white sand beaches. It’s never a bad location to head to to unwind and soak-in and soak-up some of the finer things in life. Great drinks, fresh seafood, and blue skies. This place has it all in abundance. As the third largest of the Balearic Islands — which all offer nature’s glorious sand and sun — is an autonomous Spanish community, with its capital, Ibiza Town sits comfortably as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The island is famous (quite rightly) for its club scene; but it also has a burgeoning luxury sector that would not be out of place in any of the world’s money-melting pots. Think custom built yachts, villas that you can only really imagine in Bond films, and a service industry that caters for the most ludicrous of demands. The island's government apparently is attempting also to promote itself as a more family-oriented destination.
We thought we’d take a look at some of the island’s most luxurious villas to rent, for after you’ve hit the big gambling jackpot.
Can Tiruit Veil
This beautiful villa in the scenic north of the island — and only a short walk through the nearby forest that leads you to a private cove — has the capacity to sleep 12 people, and doesn’t skimp on any of the spoils. The villa’s modern finish flaunts a subtle and elegant interior, with an infinity heated swimming pool outside that would be perfect for lounging in with a top drawer evening cocktail after a relaxing long walk. The nearby clear seas make for the ideal opportunity to go snorkelling, which is a great activity should you holiday with any kids in tow.
At £?5,228 per week in low season, you may need to get that big win beforehand.
This pad really is the creme de la creme of villas, just as you’d hope once you discover the price, too. It’s superb fully enclosed grounds sports gorgeous a garden on several different levels, an alfresco dining area for 12, and a terrace overlooking the swimming pool with space to chill out. Another great feature at this property is the outdoor music system — so you can always carry on the party outside of the indoor luxury.
At £10,700 per week, you better get winning those bets pronto.
Tagomago on a private island
We thought we’d save the best (or most lavish) till last. You’ really would need some serious cash to stay at Tagomago. This small private island at the north-east coast of Ibiza boasts 600,000sqm of it beautifully natural greenery with beaches that would look more fitting in Castaway. On the west there’s a beach bar that serves (just as you’d imagine) exquisite food and better cocktails. The mansion you’d rent is the only one on the island, and you can get to ibiza with just a short boat trip away.
At £104,576.51 per week, you might even need to rob bank (GD does not, however, endorse robbing banks).
