Dating back to 1922, the Valero Texas Open is a pro golf tournament frequented by all of the games greats. Big name players like Arnold Palmer and Ben Hogan have taken the Texas Open Crown and helped cement its place as one of the PGA Tours best spectacles. Based at The Oaks Course near San Antonio, the Texas Open is very good at throwing up winners who score under par and pays winners a handsome cheque of $1m. Since 2013, the tournament is now played between those from the US and Europe and after a change of schedule airs on NBC - which as a spectacle never fails to disappoint. In 2011, Kevin Na scored 12 over par on the 16th in his opening round after an atrocious run of luck and bad play.
