LeoVegas reviews overview
LeoVegas are a relatively new entrant to the online casino and sportsbook space, with the operator first launching in 2012. Initially, the platform focused exclusively on its online casino department, with the website offering a range of table games, live dealers and slot machines. However, the platform is now looking to push its ever-growing sports betting facility. Our LeoVegas reviews process found that the platform has a strong presence throughout Europe, and as such, is regulated by a number of licensing bodies.
We found that this includes the UK Gambling Commission, Malta Gaming Authority, Danish Gambling Authority and the Swedish Gambling Authority. Our LeoVegas reviews process also found that the platform is readily available via a mobile or tablet device. When we tested it out ourselves, the mobile version of the site was reasonably easy to navigate through.
Finally, in order to promote their sportsbook to the UK market, LeoVegas recently formed sponsorship partnerships with Norwich City FC and Brentford FC, as well as Leicester Tigers in the Aviva Premiership.
So now that you have a better understanding as to who the operator are, in the next stage of our LeoVegas reviews process we sought to explore the sportsbook in more detail.
Betting markets and odds – LeoVegas reviews
When you first visit the LeoVegas sportsbook, the overall layout is a bit non-descript. What we mean by this is that the platform looks a bit bland. You are instantly presented with a list of games that are currently available to bet in-play. If you are instead looking for a specific pre-match sport, you will need to click on the ‘Browse Sports’ button at the top of the page.
We found that the number of sporting markets available to bet on is actually pretty extensive. This of course includes major sports such as football, tennis and cricket, however it also included the likes of cycling, athletics and Aussie Rules. We also found that the sports betting platform places a strong empathise on football markets, especially that of the Premier League.
When we broke the markets down in further detail, there is an excellent range of betting options. Whilst the number of available markets is still considerably smaller that the major sportsbooks, the football section had a healthy amount of choice.
When it comes to the underlying odds, our LeoVegas reviews process found that popular markets are just shy of the major sports betting sites, although only by a couple of percentage points. However, in the less popular markets, the odds were a bit short sighted.
So now that we’ve covered the main sportsbook, in the next part of our LeoVegas reviews process we are going to explore the in-play section.
In-play betting and extra features – LeoVegas reviews
In order to navigate over to the in-play section, you first need to divert back to the main sportsbook homepage. It remains to be seen why the platform hasn’t integrated an ‘In-play’ button at the top of the header. Nevertheless, when you first enter the in-play section, live football bets seem to take precedence.
If you want to navigate across different markets, you’ll need to select the sport at the top of the page. We found that LeoVegas only show the win/draw/lose option initially, so you’ll need to click on the event to bring up additional bet options.
When you do, you’ll see the live match cast on the side of the screen, which gives you a range of real-time statistics. In terms of the markets, there is a good number of options available to bet on. LeoVegas don’t separate the markets with categories, so you’ll need to scroll down until you find your preferred bet.
Deals and promotions –LeoVegas reviews
First and foremost, we were surprised to see that LeoVegas do not currently offer any sort of welcome package for new players. This is almost unheard of in the online sports betting space. Further research leads us to find that the platform has offered bonuses in the past, so it might be worth keeping an eye on the homepage.
Nevertheless, the platform does at least offer a couple of ongoing promotions for existing players. Our LeoVegas reviews process found that the platform seems to focus its bonus structure on the ‘LVFC Bonus Ladder’.
Every time you place a qualifying bet of £20 or more at odds of 1/2 (1.5) or greater, you will climb up the bonus ladder, The smallest offer is a £10 free bet, once you make 5 qualifying bets. At the top of the tree, 50 qualifying bets will get you a 50% profit boost.
Payments and withdrawals on offer at LeoVegas
If you are looking to deposit funds for the first time, our LeoVegas reviews process found that the platform offers a small selection of options. This includes major debit and credit cards such as Visa, MasterCard and Maestro, as well as e-wallets such as Neteller and Skrill.
Other than this, the only other option for UK players is to deposit funds with a Paysafecard. Unfortunately, PayPal or Entropay is not supported.
When it comes to cashing out your winnings, LeoVegas usually process e-wallet withdrawals within 24 hours. Card payments take slightly longer, averaging 2-5 days. Take note, until your withdrawal request is processed, you will have the ability to reverse the funds back in to your LeoVegas account.
LeoVegas reviews summary
In summary, our LeoVegas reviews process found that the brand still has a long way to go to stake a claim in the UK sports betting market. Its ongoing TV advertisements and growing sports partnerships are certainly a step in the right direction. However, we at GamblingDeals believe that LeoVegas still have more to do.
This includes an increase in betting markets outside of the football space. In addition to a re-work of its sportsbook layout, and more importantly an increase in the amount of free bets and promotions it offers to both new and existing players.
